MORRIS DIGITALWORKS' MDTRANSIT POWERS NEW AUTOS SITE FOR ROCHESTER POST-BULLETIN

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Morris DigitalWorks (MDW) has announced the deployment of its mdTransit version 2.1.2 autos vertical on the Rochester, Minn., Post-Bulletin's new automotive Web site, pbautomotion.com.

MdTransit is an online automotive solution for newspapers that focuses on driving customer interest and demand in autos to local advertisers who are featured throughout the site. It is designed to capture users during the entire buying process, from research to purchase. In addition to autos search, mdTransit incorporates articles, research and lifestyles, giving users multiple avenues to investigate automotive choices. MdTransit 2.1.2 is available as either a licensed application or hosted solution by Morris DigitalWorks.

"MDW's years of experience in a proven market was a leading factor in our choosing mdTransit," said Ron Hanson, online senior account executive for the Post-Bulletin. "Additionally, mdTransit was an easier integration for our dealers to put all their new and used cars online. The used-car opportunity has been especially exciting for our dealers. The back end makes it easy for dealers to get in and make corrections and the built-in tracking system makes it easy for them to keep track of leads. The fact that mdTransit is tied in with Cobalt and Edmunds was also a powerful denominator."

The Post-Bulletin previously used a custom, in-house Web site for its autos vertical.

"This new Web site demonstrates the Post-Bulletin's tremendous commitment to its readers and users online," said Michael Romaner, president of Morris DigitalWorks. "We are excited to work with them to help them improve their online Web presence."

The Post-Bulletin is owned by The Small Newspaper Group and is published Monday through Saturday.  It is the largest daily newspaper in southeast Minnesota with circulation ranging from 44,500 weekdays to 48,000 on Saturdays. PostBulletin.com, Rochester's premiere daily, local news source online, is supported by the Post-Bulletin. The online readers are 25-54, affluent and educated.
