Morris DigitalWorks announces the launch of registration in Charleston

*** Please Note***

The Post and Courier is owned by the Evening Post Publishing Company that owns television stations in Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Louisiana, Montana and Texas, daily and weekly newspapers in South Carolina, North Carolina and Texas, and an English-language daily newspaper in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It also owns a Florida-based subsidiary that distributes newspaper feature material worldwide and a Georgetown County company that owns and manages Southern-pine timberlands.

October 16, 2003 -- Morris DigitalWorks, a division of Morris Communications Co., LLC, announced today the launch of registration functionality on Charleston.net, the web site of The Post and Courier in Charleston, SC. Morris' registration functionality was implemented on the site to allow The Post and Courier to obtain clear and accurate measurements and demographic profiles of their site's audience.

Morris' registration functionality is designed to be an affordable solution that accesses registration information on a "per page" basis. The functionality works across multiple servers to allow the reporting of sites hosted both locally and remotely while giving the newspaper complete control of the data in-house.

With the registration solution, newspapers can collect basic pieces of information, such as name, email, gender and date of birth. To ensure quality responses, email verification has been built in as a standard feature. Newspapers are given complete control over the data fields allowing the ability to ask additional questions such as usage, personal interests and so forth. Standard sets of reports are provided and all data collected can easily be imported into standard tools such as a spreadsheet.
